He is the founding Director of the Center for Depression Research and Clinical Care\, which is nationally recognized for excellence in research and the treatment of depression\, bipolar disorders and other mood disorders. He is leading innovations to improve mental health care\, including in our community.\n\n\n\n1:00 PM     Regional CARE Team - Crisis Assessment  Resource Engagement\n\nMelissa Franks\, Lieutenant\, DeSoto Police Department\, Regional CARE Team Coordinator\n\nAs a multi-disciplinary group\, the Regional CARE Team provides community behavioral health support to individuals and their families. We are a free resource provided by the participating cities (Cedar Hill\, DeSoto\, and Duncanville) for our residents. Our purpose is to assist individuals experiencing behavioral health needs and their families/support systems to access\, navigate\, understand\, and utilize appropriate community referral sources.
